Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel

Excellent. Location couldn't be better with the stadium across the road. Room was great but would try and get a stadium view next time. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee machine at the front was greatly welcomed

I spent the summer before last at the Sandman, and my first impression was how great the location is. It is close to both St. James’ Park and the Newcastle Stadium, which is perfect for tourists. It is also just a stone’s throw away from Tesco if you’re feeling peckish and want a quick snack. The rooms were well equipped with everything you might need, and the city view was a lovely sight, especially at night. Breakfast was also great, I really appreciated that I could request for my eggs to be scrambled at no extra cost, a small touch, but one I made full use of throughout my stay!

Loved the room. Right near my venue & 5 mins into town. Food was nice... it filled a gap. Service... on the whole ok, had an issue with one member of staff making personal commitments & spoke to his supervisor. I was at the front so very noisy at night.

Lovely hotel with lovely views. As soon as you walk in we were served by a lovely Blonde lady, not sure what her name was, but she had a European accent, she was polite and explained where the parking is and how to get to our rooms. We had a lovely ensuite that was nice and clean. Had a hairdryer and kettle in for tea and coffee and a mini fridge freezer. It had ironing board in closet and safe if needed. Black out blinds were handy to have with a small child during his nap time. Manual thermostat meant we could keep the room as warm or cool we wanted to. On checkout we were served by a lovely man. All the staff here were kind and welcoming. It was right across the road from St. James park, so if you're a football fan it's the right place to go with a chance to get a room with st James's stadium view I would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again.

Always a fab stay at the Sandman in the Toon. Great room with a little kitchen. Shark Club breakfast was varied and tasty. Thanks to Ben for arranging the Shark Club evening meal table and the NUFC away win! Staff are super efficient and friendly. Shout out to Deborah, Ben and Connor. I gather the issue with the lift is being addressed … but nothing could spoil our stay.

Absolutely brill place to stay in Newcastle.Had great views rooms comfy. Great sports bar. Perfect location will stay again.

Very comfortable room with view of ground opposite. Comfortable shower which for once drained away without flooding the bathroom. Staff very friendly both behind reception and the breakfast staff. Good availability of tv channels and of course the downstairs Sharks Bar had all the sport you could wish for. Only downside is the closeness of Newcastle United's 'Shack Bar' which excuses live loud music, but there is a curfew at 12.00 so you get some sleep. But even this doesn't detract from excellent stay.

Our room was clean, modern, and well-equipped, providing enough space for the family to feel comfortable. The beds were particularly comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep for the kids after busy days out. The facilities were well maintained, and we appreciated the small touches that made the stay feel special. Service in the hotel was attentive without being intrusive, and any requests we had were dealt with promptly.
